Goshen Orphanage was founded by Rev [Mrs] Olubunmi Alaka, a dedicated NHS Health Visitor whose professional experience working with mothers, children, and families revealed the urgent need for comprehensive care for Nigeria's most vulnerable children. As a legally registered orphanage in Nigeria, we operate with full governmental recognition and oversight, ensuring accountability and compliance with child welfare standards.
We are driven by an unwavering passion to transform the lives of abandoned infants and children,
as well as those who have been orphaned due to preventable circumstances such as inadequate medical care during
childbirth or the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Our commitment extends beyond meeting basic needs—we seek to demonstrate God's
boundless compassion for children through every aspect of our care and service.
We hold as sacred the principle that every child possesses inherent rights to protection, physical care, psychological support, and emotional nurturing. These fundamental human rights do not diminish when a child becomes orphaned; if anything, they become more critical to uphold. Goshen Orphanage exists as a sanctuary where these rights are not only recognized but actively championed.
